Hidden in Plain Sight

I believe peace is hidden in plain sight for those with eyes to see.

Starting from a place of rest is only possible when peace is internal.

If the seventh day is the last day, why do we feel like it’s also the new beginning?

To work six days and rest for one.

This implies that peace is hidden in the lack of motion, which is obviously not what God intended since he had to come down to earth and depict what he meant by rest.

To burn and not be consumed like the burning bush that Moses first saw.

In the depiction of the burning bush that burns but never becomes consumed, God demonstrated a well without a spring, a wheel within a wheel, and a flame without a match that stays ablaze.

The only thing that changed with Moses was his ability to be burned while not being consumed.

He was consumed with the burning desire to help his brothers, but he sinned and killed his fellow man.

Running away and allowing time to pass doesn’t change the burning Firery purpose God places inside of us to set others free.

No longer doing our self-centered pleasing work but good work, good rest, and good love like Christ showed us which is to heal and feed those that hunger.

To have peace of mind that surpasses physical understanding.

Every day that we live, we fight to continue our burning existence.

We glorify the sun for how its self-consumption fuels its magnificent exuberance of life.

The Battle Within

The battle is not to the swift nor is it given to the strong, but to the humble that ask for strength to carry on.

God said that he would send us the comforter that would teach us all things because hope deferred maketh the heart sick, but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. (proverbs 13:12)

Our God is a healer, so he tries to get us to stop deferring our hopes.

When I read the story of Moses I get angry and saddened that he didn’t make it to the promised land because Moses’s first words and actions pre-tell his story.

“And Moses said unto God, “Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?”(Exodus 3:11)

God said, “Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee…..”

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

Moses wasn’t trying to hear any of this, he went back and forth with God until God allowed him to bring his brother to help which turned to be the biggest thief of his joy later in the story.

Moses answered God saying”they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice” and that’s exactly what Moses struggled with.

Through the Affliction

God said “I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt, signaling that this wasn’t going to be a smooth transition. Only because God was fulfilling his promise of proving a visible token of God’s word to Moses.

When Moses asked God who am I, God answered with “what is that in thine hand? And he said, A-Rod.

Moses’ life was a testimonial existence of God and his inherited blessing from his forefathers.

After living through a protected existence, as the adopted daughter of the man wanting to kill him, he still questioned the presence of God.

Next God told him to Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent, and Moses fled from before it.” This sounds a lot like what Moses did when trying to help the Israelite by killing the Egyptian.” And the Lord said unto Moses, put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand and he caught it, and it became a rod in his hand; that they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.”

God was with Moses from conception and he should have known that and lived accordingly with the peace of God.

A measure of Faith

In Romans 12:1 Paul talks about working accordingly as to what God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. But we have the choice just like Sarah to judge God faithful, merciful, and kind to answer our prayers.

We can respond like Moses, questioning God and running away. Turning back around to pick up what we cast down in fear, may lead us to only seeing the promised land.

Wanting to bring our brother and sister to cover our perceived shortcomings, causes premature deaths from carrying the heavy burden of hard-headed and stiff-necked people along with us.

God said his burden is easy and his yoke is light, Jesus even responded”who is my brother and sister except these that do the will of my father.” That alone would have convinced me to leave over half of Isreal in that dessert.

In Exodus 32:10 God said to Moses stop asking me to help these people and “Let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot aginst them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.”

And Mose besought the Lord his God, “Why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people?

I personally believe that Moses only had hope for Isreal because he didn’t have hope in God making a great nation out of him. That entire generation died including Moses without entering the land they were promised.

The number one way to peace is hidden in plain sight, let foolish people go. I included some bible verses below of how we should respond to God.

“And he said, ‘O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.’ And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, ‘Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.’ ”

“And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness, and trust forever.”

“Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but those who plan peace have joy.”

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”

Finally, brothers, rejoice. I am for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ the Father’s Son, in truth and love.”

Peacefulness

This year I have so much peace, my digestion has settled into ease.

No longer cleaving to the waste taking up viable space.

Pushed out to land on another plate, served through the hands of time good gut macronutrients can seem divine.

Peace is like the micronutrients housed inside our tummies fighting the bad within.

Peace flows from the depths of the belly.

Allowing us to feel warm and loved vs. Agitated, anxious, and heavy.

Why did Jesus ask Peter to step out into the water?

What makes a righteous man righteous if he falls down just like me and you?

What made Sarah consider God faithful to conceive and bear a Son in her old age?

The answer to all has been hidden in plain sight.

Peace is stronger than the tribulation up the mount.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father is merciful.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive and ye shall be forgiven.

Give and it shall be given unto you good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.

For with the same measure you meet withal it shall be measured to you again.

I believe God was leading them through the valley.

To bend inward” after experiencing patterns of stress.

Causing a “modulation of the inner voice” we experience an inflexion to change our function.

God wanted Peter to feed his sheep and not deny God’s purpose within.

God wanted an heir through Sarah but she had to make a judgment about God. And he changed her ending from unfruitful to the Mother that Blessed every nation.

The righteous man that falls only gets back up because he has built himself upon his most holy faith.

Not in vain babbling and false teachings but forgiveness and love that casts out all fear.

Faith is dead without works and works are dead without charity.

Charity is grace and mercy to learn and grow.

Loving our God with all our minds body and souls leads to peace in this turbulent life.

Who can love God and hate his brother made in the same image of God?

Turns out peace is love and love is peace. Eat some dirt and your Tommy might get hurt but you’ll have and inflexion point.

“By the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:1

Peace is renewing your mind.
